Getting 320x200 and 640x400 to work on an Intel GM965/GL960?

Neither of these modes are listed in xrandr, and I can't seem to get either of them by modifying xorg.conf too...

I hear this may be because of a hardware limitation (I don't see why...), so is it even possible to get these modes working?

This is a Gateway ML6720 laptop, to be specific.

Can't help you with the problem, but just out of interest, why on earth do you need to get those resolutions? I ask because most people who have them are trying to get rid of them and go to something more usable.

    I'm just curious!

For games like PrBoom, Odamex, or Chocolate Doom (though the latter scales 320x200 to higher resolutions, so it's not as big of a deal)
