KDE4 - Some sounds output to one sound card, others to another card

    Hi,

I've had this problem for a while and was hoping it would fix itself with the final release of KDE 4.1, but I guess it must be a configuration issue on my end.

I have an Audigy 2 ZS sound card, and system sounds output just fine. For everything else, sound just doesn't work. I discovered that if I connect my speakers to the onboard sound card, system sounds no longer work but everything else does. It's like some of the audio is being output to one card, and the rest to the other.

How can I overcome this? In the KDE systems settings I have many possible devices to prioritize, most of them from the Audigy card, but I have placed the standard output of the Audigy card as the first one.

Why not disable the onboard sound?

    Thanks, that worked.
