    What applications is this??

    Does anyone knows what application is this?

    That is the file-viewer plasmoid for KDE4. (Don't know the exact name but it should be installed in the default install of KDE4.

    There are several programs that provide similar functions like the plasmoids, screenlets gdesklets etc, but I did not come across a file-viewer-widget/gadget... .

    That's too bad. I checked screenlets and gdesklets and couldn't find anything similar as well!!
