I don't think this helps you much, but lspci should pick up your wireless card.

exactly... mine looked like that before, now it doesn't pick up my wireless card.
I am 99% sure it's broken
I justneed a confirmation that this is not being caused by some esoteric bug.

If the blue wifi light is off then the card will not be picked up lspci. I have a 701 running eeeubuntu with the Array custom kernel.
