Pidgin Crash when using new Logitech Headset

    Hello

I just acquired a new logitech headset, which plugs into the front of my computer via a USB cable & connection.

To utilise this headset to play music, I need to change the options in System > Preferences > Sound (default tab) to USB Audio, and the very bottom option of the device - I change to 'Logitech USB Headset (ALSA Mixer)'.

Trouble is, when I do this, Pidgin crashes almost instantly, usually as soon as an IM is sent either to me or from me.

Running it from terminal reports as single segmentation fault with absolutely no other information.

I am 100% confident it's due to the change of options which I need to change in order for the headset to output audio.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

I don't know if you're still having this issue, but perhaps this thread has the solution: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=880596
