What's a good program to use for editing mp3s?
Like I want to get a full song and use the chorus for a ringtone.
I used to use goldwave on windows.

Audacity or mhwaveedit.
I am not sure if they can "directly" process the mp3 file. You may have to convert it to wav first.
Audacity CAN convert to .mp3 but you need to get the .mp3 support in not sure how that would work in linux i dont really use it very much in linux only at school for some projects and its all windows there. but im sure it wouldnt be hard. all windows requires is downloading the lame_enc.dll so like i said it should be too hard...it may even work out of the box.
You can also use Ardour, it seems to be powerful, but difficult.
To have a mp3 support in audacity, you must install "lame".
I say Audacity. I use it in Windows, Mac, and Linux, and I love it.
