    Re: Tablet PC Issues

    Okay...
Zoomy I uploaded an xorg.conf that should work. That make.conf (or whatever it says) is something you don't have to worry about. It is when you are compiling a kernel which you don't need to do.
Try it and get back to me.

    Okay zujenbe:

First I need the model of your laptop....

Now just do every single one of these commands in the terminal then copy and paste all the output here. It would be best if you copied into a text file then uploaded that here. Do These one at a time!

    sudo apt-get update

    sudo apt-get install build-essential libx11-dev libxi-dev x11proto-input-dev xserver-xorg-dev tk8.4-dev tcl8.4-dev libncurses5-dev

    sudo apt-get upgrade

    sudo apt-get install wacom-tools xserver-xorg-input-wacom

    sudo apt-get purge wacom-tools xserver-xorg-input-wacom

    sudo rmmod wacom

    sudo rm /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/input/tablet/wacom.ko

    cd ~/Desktop

****Delete any previous linux wacom folder***

    wget http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/linuxwacom/linuxwacom-0.8.1-4.tar.bz2

    tar xjvf linuxwacom-0.8.1-4.tar.bz2

    cd linuxwacom-0.8.1-4

    ./prebuilt/install

    ./prebuilt/uninstall

    ./configure --enable-wacom

    make

    sudo make install

    sudo cp ~/Desktop/linuxwacom-0.8.1-4/src/2.6.24/wacom.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/input/tablet/wacom.ko

    sudo depmod -e

    sudo modprobe wacom

    lsmod | grep wacom

Okay do all that then get back to me.

    Everything looks good so far!
    Keep on going.
As far as post length, what you can do is when making another post, make sure you are in advanced mode, then highlight all the output and there is a button (it looks like #) that will wrap it in code frame.
    Anyway keep going!

    Re: Tablet PC Issues

Okay I need you to all the commands.
    You skipped a few.
    Delete the previous folder.
and do each command exactly as I typed.
    Use sudo not su.
It is just easier for me to find the errors that way.
The main one you skipped is the most required:

    ./configure --enable-wacom

it will not work if you do this. At all......
So please do those commands and post the output

    Re: Tablet PC Issues

Are you on a custom kernel or not on Ubuntu?

    I found some interesting entries:

    checking for arch type... x86_64-linux-gnu
    checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
    checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
    architecture - x86_64-linux-gnu

If not, I will have to wait till I get home to get on Linux to help you more

    Re: Tablet PC Issues

Okay never mind on that stuff.
    Try this

    sudo apt-get install libpixman-1-dev

    and do make again.

    Cross your fingers.
