    Some of that "code" is actually painful to read. Got to thank Matthew Garret to be brave enough to go through the whole of that source tree, I would have given myself a hernia laughing at some of it!

    Still not safe enough it seems. The code is a horrible mess and it's a miracle it does not instantly break stuff.

    It does. Every time a shell script enters into a main loop and tries to present a user interface as a large end user application (as opposed to, say, Python or C# or Java), God kills a kitten. And breaks my heart.

    To be fair to Ultamatix, the UI is all in Python. It calls out to shell for the package installation.
