Foxconn thread closed by UbuntuForums admins

Hey,

I was following the thread about Foxconn here:

For over an hour now, its been locked by Forum staff. I'm not looking to pick a fight, but disabling a thread that appears to have suitable content appears excessive and makes the forum look bad without a proper explanation. Especially a thread that has been targeted by news sites (Digg, Reddit...)

This thread is not intended to carry on the conversation about Foxconn, I just wanted to find out whether we *cant* continue this discussion in the relevant sections, how long we cant do it for, and why it was locked in the first place...

We looked at it. The fix for the issue has been posted (and that is appreciated!), but the rest of the conversation is speculative, so we will leave it closed.

The actions made have reassured (at least) me that the forums are still being moderated well.
