Is GetDeb still down?

I am just now again using the laptop I installed Hardy onto a loong time ago.

GetDeb stopped working for me about 6mos ago.
It still will not work today.

I'm pretty sure I'm doing it right, adding deb http://ubuntu.org.ua/ getdeb/ to the bottom of sources.list. It gets the update list, but 404s whenever it tries to actually download the new packages.

I mean really, if it's been down this long, how can I not find any evidence that it is? The main site seems to say nothing about 6mos+ downtime...

andrew, here is a link to keep to check to see if a website is down.
pretty cool you might want to bookmark it. also the correct website is getdeb.net not .com. note when i checked the website on this link it shows it is up

Really, I am pretty sure everyone but me is using GetDeb. I am doing something very wrong to get these 404s.

May be you can give it a try. Since without the space before getdeb, I am able to access that page and its contents.

I was even able to get the Packages.gz downloaded on my PC. Probably you should give it a try.

You're right indeed, AndrewZorn: you can add the repository, but none of the packages from it will actually download. It's been like this for a while; I've been meaning to update my blog with this info, but I keep forgetting. I just updated it, so thank you!

I didn't know getdeb.net had a repository to begin with. Pretty sure they were against one because they think it would mess up all your other apps (and well, it really would).
