    Getting ready to organize

Well I have transferred all of my music from my old windows drive to my Ubuntu partition. Now that I have done that, it's time to organize several years of music which I have pulled off my CDs, many of which were improperly tagged, or left with no tags at all. I estimate that over half of my 2,000+ songs need to be retagged. My plan as of now is to manually go through every file and use Banshee to tag them. However this will be very time consuming and I was wondering if there was any other application out there that can make this process less painful.

    Thanks!

While I have this question up I'll ask if there's any image viewing software that has anything like ACDSee's tools that help with finding duplicates.

As to your first post try Easytag or Picard both are available in the repositories and you can use Add/Remove Programs or Synaptic Package Manager, and of course the command line.
