Wireless laptop button
Have installed ubuntu on 4 machines mostly dual boot. I am trying to install on my wife's Compaq C731TU Vista laptop dual boot. I like to try the live CD before install just to make sure everything works (esp networking/internet).
The laptop has a hardware button to switch on wireless (turns blue when on) in Vista this is controlled by HP Wireless Assistant. Hardy Heron detects and installs driver (Atheros I think) but the button is inactive and hence I suspect wireless will not switch on. No wireless found in networking.
I suspect that you will say install and fix from there but I am not sure there is a fix and hence reluctant to install.
Any advice/help appreciated
