Report, but no response

Hello,

Recently, I have reported two posts that have insinuated that people of religion are insane or irrational. They did not come right out and say it, but they both stated that non-religious in particular were either sane or rational.

As I said, I have reported both of them, but nothing has happened. I believe that the forum CoC does not allow this type of behavior, but perhaps I am simply misreading it.

I will link to the post in question if you want me to, but I would rather not right now so as not to point fingers at a specific person.

I have replied via PM as follows:

All reported posts are looked at. Those that we feel require action are acted upon. We just about never respond personally to the person reporting the post(s), we just don't have the time to do so.

But the forum CoC says to "be respectful to all members at all times. Insinuating that a certain group is either insane or irrational does not show respect. Is that not true, or am I simply misreading the CoC?

There are times when it is just as irrational to expect others to ALWAYS say EVERYTHING in a way that YOU prefer (emphasis is for comprehension, not to convey emotion). What I am trying to say gently is that you are over-reacting.

Sorry...I just realized that we are having this conversation in the Resolution Center. I originally thought I read your post in the staff's Reported Post forum, which is why I replied via PM both times and copied/pasted here. My mistake.

Same reply, but if I had it to do over again, it would be formatted more appropriately, as a direct response instead of as a note for staff to know I am dealing with the issue.

I still personally believe that I am right according to the CoC, but I will not argue it any longer.
