Laptop Screen Brightness Not Saved Between Sessions

Hi,

I have just freshly installed Hardy Heron, and everything works great (so far) on my HP Pavilion DV9000, but for some reason the brightness of the display is very low at the start of the session (probably around 30%). I can use the function keys or the brightness applet to adjust the brightness up to 100%, but when I start the next session, the brightness is back low again.

Any suggestions?

Same problem here. Thinkpad r52, Centrino, Intel graphics. Brightness dims on every new session.
