There's nothing in that link that suggests only copying the .iso would do the trick or that creating a folder called USB-ubuntu is necessary or even helpful.

i did read that site and i did all steps that mentioned there but i got nothing !
If you're interested I've just put a howto up for Intrepid Ibex, that can be easily adapted for a hardy *buntu desktop.

Thanks a lot, but in my case i dont have the cable that you mentioned and i believe it is a long process ! is there any other way so i can install it directly to my eeepc ? please advice.
