    Blank Terminal Window

    I've noticed in Hardy that at random times, the gnome-terminal will open
    with no text and where the toolbar should be, it's just gray. I also
    noticed when this problem occurs that even apps like gnome-keyboard-
    shortcuts do the same. It's a fairly new install on a T61 Thinkpad.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    There are terminal issues I noticed in plain hardy, thats why I installed roxterm.

    Report the bug on Launchpad.

    In the meantime, use another terminal emulator, such as xterm, rxvt, eterm, konsole, etc. Look them up in Synaptic.
    If people were nicer, I'd answer more queries here!

    Re: Blank Terminal Window

    I'm not completely convinced it's the terminal emulator as my keyboard shortcuts
    window did the same thing last time the problem arose.

    Re: Blank Terminal Window

    I've had a problem with a blank terminal window. I think I solved it by using
    System=>Preferences=>Appearance=>VisualEffects=Non e.
    Anyway it can't do any harm to try !
