my isp refuses to give me the login information for my Mikrotik router. he even tried to convince me it was not a router but a wireless access point and also refuses to port forward for me. i cannot change ISP's because there is no other ones where i live... anyone out there know of a way to reset the username/password or any other way of getting access to my router?? It is Mikrotik 133c routerboard

Try searcing google for mikrotik, there is a link of the 1st page to the manufacturer's web site where you can download the user manual.

From what I see about this router, DO NOT reset it unless you are prepared to completely reconfigure it and possibly reinstall its full operating system, which depending on model, may require a serial null modem cable. No wonder your ISP doesn't want you changing anything.

Unhappy Re: How to reset routerboard to default???

hey!! i went and pressed the reset button which did not delete the OS but did delete the whole configuration of the routerboard. with no idea how to configure i ended up getting my ISP to send out a technician who came today and replaced the router with another pre-configured one with password. back to square one. think ill just leave it!!
