    sudo apt-get remove python-wxgtk2.4 libwxgtk2.4-1

    This breaks my vlc player

I have another question, can i make i .deb file of the new GTK Bittornado so the next time i don't have to recompile everything, or is that not possible?

Well as I said, that's an optional step. You don't need to do it.

That's what this howto does. It makes bittornado look like bored2k's screenshot.

Hmm... I don't know how. If this came with a make script, you could use checkinstall, but it doesn't. I'll look into it.

    Thank you!

    Thanks!
Exactly what the doctor ordered... Ignore the heathens

I agree about the original client being fine.. it is.. but some trackers are jerks about it.. you can add the --minport --maxport to much higher ports to fool them, but I decided I wanted a manager style downloader and BitTornado it is

    Thanks Again,

    Re: HowTo: BitTornado with GTK2

i installed the unstable version and its having trouble to find peers in a file that has over 1k peers according to Azureus, it will only show like 5 or 6 and the download rate wont go over 1kB/s
edit: i'm not sure if the problem is BitTornado or my router modem, but i did some port forwarding and it seems to be ok now.
