    Mac OS X Html Editors

    Hey everyone,

So my fiance has a Mac(I know I know...) and I am in search of a good HTML/CSS editor for her. I'd really like something like Geany or Bluefish but if it did more that would be great.

Do any of you know of any HTML Editors like Bluefish for Mac OS X?

I am mainly looking for syntax highlighting, some stuff to help her remember tags and ease of use.

My searches haven't turned up much that is Free(as in cost).

    Thanks,

    Jon

I'll list the two free ones I use and some other popular non-free ones just because they're great apps.

    Free:
    • Smultron
    • TextWrangler

    Nonfree:
    • TextMate
    • Coda
    • BBedit
    • CSSEdit

    Thanks for the suggestions guys.

We'll probably give all the free ones a try. I'll let her pick the one she wants of course.

If anyone knows of others let me know.

    Thanks!

I don't care, I'm still free. You can't take the sky from me.

I think you can get bluefish installed via darwin ports, never tried it myself, but I believe its possible.

    Obligatory mentioning of Vim

Also I think Smultron is open-source, that's not too bad either

Remember this is a girl who is somewhat scared by the command line.

She isn't there yet, but we are working on it!

Last time I was working n the page on here Mac, I found the OS X built in text editor so awful that I did use Vim. She looked very afraid.....
