Failure to boot from USB/CD Drive
Hello i had this problem for a very long time , but now i need it to be solved , My machine is a Compaq Presario C300ea (Phoenix BIOS) and my internal cd drive decided to quit. so i bought an external CD drive that connects through a USB port, when an OS is loaded the Drive works terrific, but when i try to boot from it , most CDs stop at a certain stage , i tried a pile of CDs (Hiren's , (K)Ubuntu,PCLinuxOS,WinXp) the only CD that seemed to work is that of Fedora Core 5( just the "Core" in fedora tells you how old is it)
Note that the Drive works bingo with my pal's Sony Vaio and loads all those CDs.
Please guys help me with this, and thanks in advance.
