I second that, i wouldn't waste my money, Waiting for the Android stuff, or a better LIMO based phone.

Re: Would you Buy an iPhone?

I am not remotely interested in buying an iphone. It just seems to lack basic features that are available in phones from other manufacturers and the total cost of owning one is ridiculous.

I can't' afford it, but I would love one, if you have a spare! The FreeRunner looks like a good linux based alternative, but its interface will be pretty amateur compared with Apple's polished. glossy look.

No. The iPhone is overpriced for what is does and you pay for the Apple name. It only has a 2 megapixel camera. You're also locked in to a restricted number of applications (which are probably overpriced) and the network (in most cases). If you're thinking of buying one why not take a look at HTC and Samsung phones especially the touch screen models. My personal favourites are from SonyEricsson and Nokia.

The iPhone is a totally useless eye-candy piece of crap in my opinion.

I love my Samsung Blackjack II Wine Red. I just wish they'd hurry up and release Windows Mobile 6.1 for it.

It's overpriced, and I'd have to switch mobile carriers. I'd rather get one bill for internet, landline and mobile.
Some of the current gadgets (including iPhone) go against the idea of doing one thing, and doing it well.

Re: Would you Buy an iPhone?

Had my first generation iphone imported from the states already months ago for a very nice price, a lot lower than what you would pay now in stores in Europe (Belgium). So I'm not caughing up 500 or 600 € for the new (and imo uglier) model.

ps. there's no challenge anymore in gettings these new ones to work over here and that was also part of the reason I bought mine, the kick
