Just a general tip, when your typing commands in the terminal you can press "Ctrl + R" to bring up a recent command.

Or up arrow.

I use CTRL-R when I need a command I know I typed a while ago. With a few letters, no matter where they are in the command, it will retrieve it:

(reverse-i-search)`ing': sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart

Up arrow is good for a command you typed just a few commands ago
