    jukebox

    Hi All

My first ever post on here so be gentle. Ok my thought is this and maybe you kind lot will offer solution or point me in the right direction. What I'm trying to do is have a central server with all my mp3 files available to play on any machine(windows) on my home network.. I have intalled Hardy Heron server edition on an old desktop that i had lying around and then installed squeezecenter. Now I have no problems getting it to work however there seems to be no way the remote user can browse the catalogue and select individual tracks, but i also want the ability to stream so that all capable devices in the house can play sync play the same song, hope this all makes sense.

I don't mind using squeezecenter if it can do the job i want, and i have tried using ampache but with no success so over to you lot.

oh ona second note anyone tried porting linux onto a dell axim x30 and f so was it easy(ish)

    regards

    wylie
