    I'm not scared of the terminal...in fact I use it quite often for Java coding (with VIM of course), even though I still like Netbeans for the heavy-GUI stuff. (Who wants to fool with multiple-nested layout managers when the IDE will generate the code)? But if I'm gonna download a new package, I use Synaptic, not "sudo apt - etc".

    I don't think the GUI is inelegant, but I love using the terminal. So I checked that option.
