I highly recommend Live Helper. It takes some configuration, but it's a very useful tool. It makes Debian (Etch, Lenny, and Sid) images, but only in Debian itself. Running it in Ubuntu doesn't work.

Reconstructor looks like it's dummied down enough for even a dolt like me to use. I've downloaded it to my storage drive for future use.

Thank you La Roza!!! I'll never kid you about thinking again probably, I promise!!!

    Thanks.

No one can hunt down links like I can...

I have never made a custom distro before, but I think I will soon just to say I did.

Damn Small Linux 4.4.2 has a remaster feature that let's you customize a Live CD. I did it a while back and added my favorite programs, wallpaper, and pictures (for the slide puzzle game) using it. The MyDSL remaster pretty much adds anything that's in your DSL home folder to an iso file. If you made a "mydsl" folder in the home folder, and added MyDSL packages to it (using the MyDSL browser's "Download Only" button), they load up as if they were installed.

It's nice to see other options for custom Live CDs. 8) Using my custom DSL Live CD had me wondering this.
