While I wish there was a full version of Acrobat for Linux, sadly it still isn't available. I have tried Pdf Editor which I found to be very awkward and buggy.
Recently I tried the portable version of the free pdf exchange viewer with wine, and found that I can make sticky notes, and fill in/save pdf documents very easily without any errors.
I hope someone else who needs this same functionality finds this post helpful.
