    Question Gnome?? What is it?

    I'm sorry if I sound like a totall noob saying this, but what is gnome? And what purpose does it serve?

    And last but not least, how do I get it?

    If you use Ubuntu, you already have it.
    It's your desktop environment (everything that you see on your computer after you booted).

    I am still waiting on my install disk for ubuntu, I'm just gathering as much info as possible before I install it!
