Question Unable to brows hard disc.

    Hello!

I installed Linux for a week ago.
Where using Windows Xp before that.
And since then i have been unable to brows my 200gb hard disc.
The error message i get when i try to brows it is
    "Cannot mount volume-
You are not privileged to mount this volume.
    "
I got some things that should be nice to have left but that is not very necessary. Just want it to work so i can get some more space.
I have searched the forum for threads that could help me but without success. Tried some methods that's used to mount external hard discs but it kinda got worse of that. Had an other error message before i tried who told me to try something with ntfs-3g or something but didn't understand that or didn't work.

    Please Help!!!

Are you trying to mount from a terminal?
If so you probably missing a "sudo" before the mount command.

Re: Unable to brows hard disc.

I want to brows the hard disc from Computer.
but that doesn't work so i guess i will have to mount it some way.
The problem is that i don't know how to mount it.
    It's an internal s-ata disc.
I guess i will start with "sudo mount (name of the disc)"?

Question Re: Unable to brows hard disc.

How can you know if windows has hibernated?
And how can you remove that problem?

Re: Unable to brows hard disc.

log into windows itself then then do a shut down that can take care of the hibernate problem if it exists
