[SOLVED] Ubuntu x64 lockup while making partition (installation)

I'm trying to install Ubuntu x64 8.04 in my laptop (a laptop where i've already installed this same Ubuntu, without a problem).

Now, when i try to install it (dual-booting with windows XP), the installer locks on the partition part, after i've divided that slider into 50%/50%...it says that it's making the partition but doesn't move from 0%...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Perhaps try defragging the Windows partition from within XP, and turn off windows paging files. See http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=838606

Edit: Turning off the paging files worked. Thanks.
