[SOLVED] Trouble adding and removing files from mini SD card

Ok, I recently got an R4DS (I'm guessing this isn't relevant but just in case) and 1GB Sandisk Mini SD card, and immediately proceeded to fill it up. But then when I tried to delete files from (through the traditional method of right clicking and clicking "Move to Trash") my computer doesn't recognize that those files have been deleted. The folder representing the card is empty and the R4DS recognizes that the files are missing, but an error pops up when I try to drag files into the window and the "properties" window says it's nearly full when in reality it is empty...

You cant move files from a memory card to trash, you must delete them directly.

Try holding down SHIFT when you are deleting them to delete them directly.
