I can view computers on my windows network, I can even see the shares on my ubuntu box from ubuntu. I can see a Macbook as a computer in my network I cannot however see any shares within my Macbook or my windows machines. I can access the shares directly if I know the IP of the computer and the share name, browsing within the computer on the network still don't work. I have followed numerous guides to no avail, and I must conclude that something is rotten in the state of Samba/Nautilus.
OS X has major issues with Samba too ask any machead about Fix/Delete alias and error 36 and watch em cry.
