I added Frogatto (great 2D platformer, sprite-based characters and objects giving it that retro look) Get it from PlayDeb

and Osmos, it's an ambient physics game. Very relaxing and addictive at the same time.

Doom 2 with the skulltag port! Best 2D FPS. ROTT was good too.

tetrix is a great (if easy) platformer that is a freeware windows game that runs fine under wine (you may get a warning message at install, ignore it & be sure to uncheck the Ask toolbar)

    get it here:

There's also a native Linux port for JA2, but it's not free. http://www.tuxgames.com/details.cgi?...=de&gameref=57

EDIT: Hold on, I'm suddenly not sure if this is non-libre or it is. I first saw this in tuxgames for sale, but I'm also seeing that it's GPL'ed and the source is available somewhere. Can someone confirm?

Looks great! Maybe someone here has a native copy? I wonder if it works as well as the Windows version?
