There's a video on Google of Linux Media Center Edition, which uses Kubuntu. Pretty neat stuff.

Yah, LinuxMCE has an amazing design, and an unbeatable physical interface. Now they just need some art people to touch up their visuals, which are uniquely terrible. Clutter may serve them well here.
love linuxmce

I have a spare box at home I was going to try MythBuntu on but I might have to try this out instead.
Video looks good, wish I had a TV tuner, but I'll get by for now.
Very cool. For a demo 5 minutes would have been nice. Make a tutorial that is 20 - 30 minutes.
Anyway it's looks really cool.
Great concept but looks horrific.
There site has been down all day, at least for me. I would really like to try out linuxMCE, it seems to do everything that i wanted to accomplish with the media center/backup/file server that i am building.
Speaking as one of the developers:
The system is incredibly themable, but not in the way that you might think.
Orbiter is a highly retargetable system, that currently has targets for everything from PDAs, to cell phones, to on screen TV displays, tablet PCs, and even Cisco 7970 touch screens.
As such, a special inherited design system had to be created by Pluto to deal with designing user interfaces for many targets..
If you log onto our forums and do a search for HADesigner, you will see my screencasts, showing how to use the UI designer for your own work.
