Wubi and the zen kernel

Hi,
I have installed wubi 8.04 on my pc with the following specs:
Pentium 4 HT 3.06 Ghz
512 MB RAM
ATI 128 MB Sapphire Radeon 300XSE graphics card

it is really slow and jerky when trying to multitask even with just 2 tasks e.g. updating and browsing.

i installed the zen kernel and it is not showing up in grub menu.
please help

Not sure about the zen kernel, but ubuntu should work well with your setup. Check that the disk is not too fragmented and run some probing tool to narrow the scope.
