I have a Wireless-USB-Stick form TP-LINK that does not work correctly.
The Stick is detected by the system as wlan0
but it does not find any network.
wlan0 IEEE 802.11bg ESSID:""

I had many problems with the zd1211 driver and I think that it still doesn't work correctly. I read that it is included in the kernel-version 2.6.18 and higher, but I had a lot of errors if I test it
iwlist wlan0 scan
wlan0 No scan results
I reinstalled it with that direction (german) http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/Baustelle/WLAN-Treiber but no change...
dmesg | grep zd1211

With best regards
