[SOLVED] Login-Screen with all configured users?

I have seen in the KDM at the login the list of available resp. configured users.

To my understanding gdm is responsible for the Login. Is it possible to get as well the same list for the login, so the user only has to select the name via mouse instead of typing (reason is for users who rarely login, this helps enormous).

I have seen as well some Bug with this issue as well some proposal for that kind of functionallity. But I am not sure, if these posts/bugs were too old and already fixed/changed.

Therefore the question, if this is possible with the default installation.

If you are wanting to select the users from a menu without typing there names you can select a theme under login window (System>Admin>Login Window>Local) that displays the usernames at the login screen, but the user would still need to type there password in.

Hm', this might be a way. But thought more in the sense of either Windows or the attached Login-Screen. This I see as the main feature for the login-screen.

You can google around and look for other themes to use.
I have attached one I found, if you are interested you can download it from here and drag it into the Login window to add it.

Fine to see, we are talking about the same issue

And Google around is a good issue, as long as I know a Keyword to search for. gdmsetup and the given link helps a log.

    Thx.
