Banshee as default for iPod over Rhythmbox

I install banshee-1 via these instructions: http://www.simplehelp.net/2007/07/08...pod-in-ubuntu/ and I'm enjoying it very much.

How can I get it to be the default player to pop-up when an iPod is plugged in over Rhythmbox. /etc/gnome/defaults.list doesn't seem to be the answer, nor does setting 'System > Preferences > Preferred Applications' to 'banshee-1' instead of Rhythmbox (Rhythmbox still opens instead of banshee).

Have you also looked in the 'Removable Media' options?

Mine doesn't look like that. It only has Cameras, PDAs, Printers & Scanners and Input Devices. None of them are linked to Rhythmbox.

I'm in Hardy, are you as well?

Sorry altonbr, i'm in hardy but i'm using a custom installation, and i don't even have that entry on the main menu. The screenshot is not mine, but i knew that hardy had that preferences window. I'd guess the pic must be a gutsy snapshot, and that the tab we're looking for has been removed from hardy.

    Take a look here:

    http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=786965

It's a Howto for Songbird but should work for Banshee as well.
