[SOLVED] alltel wireless card

Using fiesty, just bought a alltel card Huawei ec228 and I seem to be getting authenication error 19, works great on xp, i'm using gnome ppp dialer and correct password/username, still connects for 5 seconds and stops,
Called alltel and they said everything is fine, the system wont accept my password from the dialer, it may be trying to give the password too fast,they said the only failure is the password, any ideas?

I figured out what went wrong, I had to do two things, manually configure the "dialup modem" and enable the connection in ubuntu, the two little computers in the upper right hand corner of the screen, right next to the date, then dis- able networking. then my dialer(gnome ppp) worked fine and quite fast, must be some conflick with the usb and the dialer modem. Hope this helps the the next person. e-mail me if you need more info.
