[SOLVED] Automatic Update to New Ubuntu Releases?

As 8.04 being my first actual ubuntu install, I have one quick question. When the next Ubuntu version comes out (let's say 8.10), do I have to manually burn another live CD and install via that? Or does the update manager in 8.04 automatically upgrade me to the newest release?

    Thanks,

P.S. If this doesn't make since I'll try to clarify.

It will ask you if you want to update. It will be your choice and won't do it without your permission for major upgrades. You can go to synaptic and select several options on how you want synaptic to handle them.

there will be an option to upgrade via the update manager.

however a fresh install is usually recommended.
