Angry [newbie] HELP!!! Sharing Internet on Windows XP and Ubuntu on a dual gigabit lan.

Hi, if someone would help me about this matter it would really be appreciated by a newbie on Linux like me.

I've been reading posts this past few weeks on some of the Linux distro out there... Although Ubuntu was the first Linux Desktop I've tried I liked it more than OpenSuse 11.

    [problem]
Since I've been sharing Internet connection on my cousin's using windows xp, now I wanna try it on my Ubuntu Desktop also. I've managed to share Internet connection bet. the 2 PC's using my pc as the host because I have a dual gigabit lan on my "ASUS p5nd2-sli deluxe" mobo..How can I do it on Ubuntu? I wanna know please coz I want to update my Ubuntu Desktop. I tend to like playing around with Ubuntu coz it's very cool!!! Hope this distro will be the best among other distro!!! Keep up the good work guys!!! Hope I could be just like you ppol someday... I'm currently taking up BS in Computer Engineering at AMA here at Philippines...Sorry for the long and not necessary statements..hehe

So, please help me... if you want to have some details just tell me... I've posted this using Windows XP coz I'm sharing connection with my cousin right now..DANG!!!

    Thanks in advance!!!!

Linux has a way to share internet connections, but it is not easy to configure manually. To do it I suggest using a program called firestarter. It will configure this stuff (iptables) for you. It is mainly a firewall, but it also configures connection sharing. Give it a try.
