    Mouse Moves When Typing

When I type the cursor jumps on the screen making it almost impossible to type. It acts like the mouse is being clicked which moves the cursor or selects something else. Under the mouse settings I have Disable touchpad while typing checked and it doesn't help.

    12.10 on an Inspiron 1505

    Any ideas?

    Re: Mouse Moves When Typing

I think I found the solution.

I disabled scrolling on the Touchpad tab and the issue appears to be gone!

    Code:
System Settings> Mouse and Touchpad> Disable Scrolling

I know this is a bit late, but sir, thank you. I was having the same problem and I wasn't tech-savvy enough to know how to fix it. Again thanks.

same problem on dell vostro 2420 running ubuntu 11.10 was easy fix... there is a function key to toggle the touchpad... just installed ubuntustudio 13.10, and now that function key no longer works.

search: "[SOLVED] Vostro 2420 function keys not working after ubuntustudio 13.10 install", for solution to simular my issue/solution
