There are many of them. Rythembox, Amarok, and for things like Windows Media Player there is totem and mplayer and Kaffeine.

They are all installed with synaptic or add remove programs or if you prefer command line apt.

if you havnt already, i suggest getting the Medibuntu repos before downloading any players.

For video use VLC. By far the best video player for all platforms, including Windows.

For music I use Songbird. Now I know it is still in development stages, as far as the stability of the program goes. I just downloaded .6 version and it's extremely stable, handling my 30,000K + library and managing their ID Tags perfect. I haven't tried it with my iPod( main reason for using it since I find other linux applications lacking in the iPod management field.)

Anyhow use the link in my signature if you want to try songbird a try. I promise you wont be disappointed. You'll be amazed at the potential of this program when it goes stable.

WinAmp is actually a descendant of, I believe, XMMS. The equivalent *nix descendant of the same program is Audacious. You might like that. It can even use WinAmp skins.

Yeah audacious and xmms are very good Winamp Clones.

But there is even a clone that merges Itunes, WMP and Winamps MediaLibrary somehow together(maybe its not a clone, maybe its something completly new ) .
Its called banshee and version 1.0 has been released a couple of days ago .
