HOWTO: CoreAVC for Linux installation guide

Hey,

I'm using the PVR-350 and wanted to see if i could route the video out through its s-video. At the moment x uses the ivtv fb to output everything so I'm assuming it can show the coreavc output unless the coreavc is locked to its native resolution.

CoreAVC is in version 1.9 now, any ideas on how to make that work?
I keep gettin the following error

you need to have nvcuvid.dll file in /usr/lib/win32
I was able to find it here

I followed this guide. Now I have the following error when I run mplayer and no video appears "Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device."

Any idea how to fix this? I tried -vo x11/xv/gl/xvidix. Did not help.
