    Seamonkey installation troubles

    hi!

i am using ubuntu 8.04. i have been trying to install seamonkey and am facing the following troubles. any help would be great....

the steps that i am following to install seamonkey are as follows:

    1. download the tar installer package "seamonkey-1.1.9.en-US.linux-i686.installer.tar.gz" onto my desktop.

in my home directory, i give the following commands through the terminal.

    2. mkdir seamonkey
    3. cp seamonkey-1.1.9.en-US.linux-i686.installer.tar.gz ~/seamonkey/
    cd seamonkey
    4. tar zxvf sea*.tar.gz
    5. cd seamonkey-installer.
    6. ./seamonkey-installer
    7. when i try to run the seamonkey-installer script i get the following error:
./seamonkey-installer-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

any idea why i may be getting this error and how to solve it?

    thanx..
