I use to have 80+ before I decided to just sick to Ubuntu. Now I have a collection of every (Ku)(Edu)(U)buntu since I started, 5.10 and all my LFX disks (issue 81-present). I threw the other burnt disks out last month when I started packing to move. I do not have 8.04 yet, but I am sure there will be some at Ohio Linuxfest.
2
1 for debian etch network install
1 for ubuntu hardy heron
I use CD-RWs, so once I have finished with the Distro, I reuse the CD for something else (not necessarily another distro)
Therefore I only keep 2 CDs for the OSes I have installed and use on my machines.

The few distros that I have are on rewritable CD or DVD. If I am not sufficiently impressed by a given distro to keep it on a system, I just erase and burn a new .ISO
I know that it my R/W drives occasionally sound like a flushing toilet, I bought R/W drives for that exact reason.
