For the trouble it was worth when I built it, I would rethink building another water cooled system again. Just too much maintenance compared to alternatives.

Desktop: It only allows the use of 1024x768 resolution and lower.
Laptop: Lack of a CD drive.
when fully loaded it weighs 58lbs, seriously, thats not hyperbole, i weighed it, i mean i work out often, have a 450 squat and a 200 bench but thats way to heavy for a computer, no lan parties with this bad boy, next time ill make sure to go smaller
I have a inspiron 1501 in white (see below) and it scratches too easily!!!!

I wish I had a bit more HDD space on my laptop (160-200 GB, instead of 120 GB) to store more movies and music. Everything else is perfect.

Desktop: 7 years old.
I don't like laptops' limits. I can't switch from ATI to nVidia.

Laptop (Thinkpad T61): Gets a bit too hot. Also, there are ubuntu-specific issues with the network card and network manager. Lastly, the speakers aren't very good.
Desktop: Getting a bit old now, but still works well and rather quickly.
I can't say I hate anything because I built it myself.
Maybe the only slight annoyance is the firewire port on the case but none built into the motherboard. So, it doesn't work. I knew that when I bought the parts and I have no firewire device so it's not really an issue. The dummy port just rubs the perfectionist side of me a tiny bit.
