PCI Card Crashing only Linux
I'm having problems with Ubuntu Linux 8.04 after I changed my motherboard (also changed processor, memory and HD).
Old MotherBoard: ASUS A7V600-X
New MotherBoard: ASUS M2N-MX SE PLUS
I have a PCI Wireless Card.
Command lspci returns:
Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR2413 802.11bg NIC (rev 01)
This card is making Linux crashes.
If I remove the card, Ubuntu works very fast and nice, as it should.
If I connect the card, Ubuntu takes about 10 minutes to load, mouse lags a lot and suddenly all freezes.
If I connect any other PCI Card (tried a Sound Card and a LAN Card), all works fine.
Now, one of the most important parts:
If I connect this card and runs Windows XP Pro SP3, all continues to work normally (no crashes, no lags).
This card used to work normally in my old motherboard, using the same Ubuntu Linux version (no crashes, no lags).
I think this is a problem of the restricted drivers, but I'm not sure. I disabled these drivers and restarted the system, but the same problem occurred.
Anybody knows what's going on?
