3D Architecture Program for Linux? [not SketchUp]

Although Google SketchUp looks like an absolutely fantastic program, I can't get it to work with Wine (by myself) or through Wine-doors and with no real version of Windows, I'm looking for a 3D Architecture program for Linux.

I just need a simple diagram of my 1st floor with an attachment on the back of my house (12'x14') and I want to see how that would look in our yard.

Are there any programs someone can suggest?

Off the top of my head I'd say Blender, but it's not made for architecture. I wish there'd be a Linux port of ArchiCAD!

If Blender can do units in feet or meters then I'd be happy... ArchiCAD looks amazing, but a little complex for what I need to do!

QCad. It is a pretty easy to get started with cad program. Fairly intutive if you are just doing some basic dimensional drawings. Also compatible with Autocad. Also free.

You can do all that in Blender but I just looked at SketchUp and it's looks waay easier than Blender. By the way you can use each Blender unit as meter, feet, whatever you want. Here's something that can help you.

Blender would be perfect. Get the program and then check out these tutorial links:

A First Introduction to Architectural Modelling in Blender
    and,
    The Blender for architecture Wiki
    and of course,
    Blender.org for the basics

    hope this helps

Have you tried running Sketchup 6 under wine lately?
Looks to me like it is working great.
