    ServeRAID-8k supported?

    Hi,

We are hoping to use Ubuntu Server Edition on our server. We have a ServeRAID-8k controller, is that supported somehow in Ubuntu? Anyone with experience of this?

    /Peter

Looks like it works on SuSE. IBM is pretty good about Linux support.

Hard to find and obsolete PC and server parts. "If we can't find it, it probably doesn't exist"

Yes, but how about Ubuntu? Anyone with experience of getting it working with Ubuntu Server Edition?

The linux kernel is pretty much the same throughout all the distros. It's the bundled software that makes them different.
