    Question Targus Wireless Stow-N-Go Keypad

Hi all, this should be a simple issue that I am having - however I am not sure what to do about it.

I have a Targus Wireless Stow-N-Go Keypad (it is the 10-key number pad) with the plug in usb receiver. Ubuntu 8.04 is recognizing it - however only as arrow keys.

When I try to enter numbers with it, the only thing that happens is that the mouse cursor starts to move.

What should I do to fix this? FYI, here is the product I am talking about:

By the way, my Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse 5000 works just great (even the back button works on this Hardy Heron (unlike on Gutsy)).

    Re: Targus Wireless Stow-N-Go Keypad

    Here's an update.

I found that this wireless keypad did work with the original release of Ubuntu 8.04 with the original kernel.

Now, with the updated kernel, it doesn't work.

Now does anybody know what I can do?

It also works just fine with SuSE 11.

Perhaps you have turned on accessibility features by accident? With the keypad plugged in, click on System-Preferences-Keyboard-Mouse Keys and ensure that "Allow to control the pointer using the keyboard" is unchecked/unticked.
